Bvlgari is a renowned jewelry house which was founded by the Italian-Greek emigrant Sotirios Voulgaris Bvlgari. He founded the company in 1884 in Rome, Italy. The company name is pronounced as Bulgari; the ‘V’ in the word is a Latin way of writing ‘U’. Bvlgari’s flagship store was only opened in 1905 by his sons in Via dei Condotti. Sotirios Bvlgari’s nephew Francesco Trapani became the CEO of the company in 1984. His vision was to diversify the business from its jewelry division to fragrances. The company released its first perfume in the 1990s. There was no looking back for Bvlgari ever since. Today the company is recognized as a famous luxury goods brand throughout the world.

One of its first perfumes was called Eau Parfumee au The Vert which was released in 1992. It has a aromatic citrus fragrance both for men and women. The fragrance contained the scents of mandarin orange, lemon, orange blossom, and bergamot, cardamom with Bulgarian rose, lily-of-the-valley, amber, musk green tea, cedar and sandalwood. This fragrance is very refreshing and is perfect for summers.

Bvlgari released two fragrances in 1996 called Eau Parfumee au The Vert Extreme and Bvlgari Pour Homme. Eau Parfumee au The Vert Extreme is very similar to its earlier version but lasts much longer and has a richer scent. The other fragrance is for men with a woody floral scent. This is an absolutely fresh smelling fragrance which has a very distinct smell. Unlike other colognes, Bvlgari Pour Homme is soft and refreshing and lasts really long. You can say it is for a muscular man with a gentle soul!

Eau Fraiche for women was launched in 1997. It has a floral green fragrance with mimose, coriander, orange blossom, pepper and bergamot. The green tea, musk and iris give this fragrance a very refreshing smell. This perfume can be described as a classic Bvlgari.

Bvlgari launched Black for men and women in 1998. This fragrance has an interesting blend of black tea (lapsang souchong), rubber, vanilla and amber. This is a kind of fragrance that could be used on both men and women, although some find it hard to believe that this fragrance can actually smell good on a women, but believe me, it does! This is another unique creation from Bvlgari that has taken its fans by surprise.

Some of the latest fragrances from Bvlgari are Aqua Pour Homme Marine, Jasmine Noir and Omnia Green Jade. Kate Moss is the face for Jasmine Noir. This fragrance has a woody floral scent and was launched in 2008. It has a mysterious dark bottle which is absolutely attractive and elegant.
