Zino Davidoff was born on March 11, 1906 in Ukraine. He started his career in his father’s tobacco business. After he took over his business, he was successful in growing the modest tobacco shop into a rich business. Zino was well-known for his marketing the Hoyo de Monterrey Châteaux Series of Cuban cigars and has had success in writing several books on cigar smoking and Cuban cigar brands.  Please scroll down to read further....

Zino stayed as ambassador for Davidoff brand until his death in 1994, even though he sold his highly reputed tobacco shop in 1970. Apart from tobacco products, Davidoff brand has several items under its name including pipes, watches, neckties, pens, briefcases, coffee, cognac, perfumes and colognes.

Davidoff’s most popular perfumes and colognes include Good Life, Cool Water and Zino Davidoff for men. Cool water for men was launched in 1988. It has a simple, fresh and very masculine fragrance with a blend of mint, lavender, green nuances, rosemary, neroli, jasmine, sandalwood, musk, cedar and of course tobacco. This cologne is very sexy and the kind of fragrance that can drive women wild.

Cool Water was followed by Cool Water Deep, Cool Water Deep Sea Scent and Sand and Cool Water Deep Summer Fizz. All these scents had great success like the original Cool Water fragrance.

Davidoff for men was a romantic fougere fragrance for men released in 1984. It has a natural scent of lime, coconut, rose, orris root, patchouli and oakmoss. This was instantly liked by the men as this fragrance was very masculine. It was well-accepted by mature men who love the masculine yet subtle smell. It was one of its kind and very classy.

Zino Davidoff for men was also in the lines of Davidoff; very masculine and sexy. It was launched in 1988. It can be easily stated as one of the best Davidoff editions. It was off the market shortly after it was introduced but was re-launched by public demand.

Good Life was another popular Davidoff edition. It had both men and women edition and was released in 1999. Good Life for women has a very oriental vanilla fragrance. It smells quite sensual and elegant. Good Life for men has a woody, floral and musk fragrance. This has a much milder fragrance as compared to Davidoff for men and Zino Davidoff.

The latest Davidoff edition includes Cool Water Man and Woman Cool Summer which was launched earlier this year. Adventure and Adventure Amazonia are other recent editions of Davidoff. Ewan McGregor was the model for Adventure’s advertising campaign. It was launched in February 2008.
